Lena Kanemori has conducted the following workshops that help educators use technology as a tool for teaching and learning.

Technology and Telecommunications for Teachers-Learning with Technology and Telecom |
A course to teach educators instructional design strategies utilizing performance standards, assessment, and curriculum design for incorporating E-mail, Internet, multimedia, video and voice elements into an integrated unit. It assisted teachers to integrate technology into their curriculum and to plan for staff development as well as broadened the participants' vision for educational reform. |

Technology and Telecommunications for Teachers-Transformation and Learning |
A course that taught instructional design strategies, performance standards, assessment, and curriculum design for incorporating electronic mail, Internet, and multimedia into an integrated unit. The course will involved designing two web-based products infusing performance standards, rubrics, and multimedia. Teachers examined the changing image of the 21st century educator and student; discussing various instructional methodologies for using information technology to support curricular goals; participating in online activities using various Internet and multimedia tools; designing an individual practical resource website; designing a web-based electronic school course for a collaborative, inquiry-based activity using a variety of instructional technology strategies; and applying the functionality of telecommunication services to transform the delivery of instruction. |

Technology Literacy Challenge Fund-Summer Session Coordinator |
Summer Institute 2000: "Soaring Into The New Millennium With Technology" will offer educators technology training opportunities designed to help Hawaii's education professionals meet the state standards. A variety of on-site and on-line training will be offered which will prepare participants to understand the ethical, cultural, and societal issues related to technology use technology tools to enhance learning, increase productivity, and promote creativity use technology to communicate, collaborate, publish, and interact with peers, experts,and other audiences use technology to locate, evaluate, and collect information from a variety of sources use technology resources for solving problems and making informed decisions |
