Renting a car in Hawaii

While you are in Hawaii you will need transportation to truly explore the islands and since there is only one island (Oahu- Honolulu) with public transportation, it is best to rent a car so you can have the one on one experience while you are there. Renting a car if fairly easy and there will be many models to choose from   the compact to the SUV. When you rent a car the rates vary by the type you want and the extra's you would like to have as collision insurance that is completely optional but if you ever had to pay for body repairs you will find it to be a great deal.

All taxes and rental fees are included in the rental price but be aware there are other fees that you could be subject to as if you are between the ages of 21 to 25 you may be subject to the young driver fee of $25.00 plus tax if you need the vehicle for more

than the standard 24 hour rate then there is a extended overtime fee. If you plan to have more than one driver, you will need to add the other driver as a additional driver and a $6.00 plus tax for each additional driver. If you have a child 4 years or under it is required to have a child safety seat, most states does have child safety seat laws so unless you will be furnishing you own then child seats are available for a nominal fee. If you pick up at one location there will be a additional fee, this is a onetime charge and I charged by location.  There are a lot of tours in Hawaii but if you are a explorer then a rental car is the way to go.  You can take your time to explore and plan your own Itinerary at your own pace and car rental is quick and easy to get you on the road.
